Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD), also known as arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is an inherited nonischemic cardiomyopathy that primarily involves the right ventricle. The gene mutation is in desmosomes of cardiac muscle cells. There is fibrous and fatty replacement of right ventricular myocardium with associated arrhythmias. It is predominantly seen in males.

Case #1. Fatty replacement of right ventricular wall.
